Any of the typified significant 46 modifications must be legalized according to Royal Decree 736/1988.
The denomination of significant reforms is given to all modifications or substitutions affecting a vehicle, previous or not to its registration and, not being included in the ECWVTA, or a change to some characteristic indicated on the ITV (Inspection Technical Vehicle) card itself, or a modification that is susceptible to alter the fundamental characteristics and/or the conditions of regulatory defined security.
